There are three weeks of this semester that are going to be hellish for me, with weekends tied up (one of them out of town! eep!! Coming for ya, Green Bay!) and midterms swallowing entire days and nights. I have officially entered those weeks.
(Note: Read this post with “Yellow Flicker Beat” by Lorde playing. Please and thank you.)
I’m mostly worried for my Old English exam on Tuesday of next week, but hey, English evolved for a reason, right? (Whyyyy did I take this class….)
After two nerve-wracking weeks of rushing the national honors fraternity chapter at Mizzou (Phi Sigma Pi!), I received a bid this week! I’m going to try to refrain from writing in all caps, as I have the past 24 hours since I found out, but I’m ridiculously excited to meet all the phenomenal people in the organization and get to know them better. The only way I can explain it is that you continually meet interesting, involved, funny, articulate people who love connecting with one another. I’ve never experienced such a dynamic group of people before; I’m definitely excited for this semester of pledging and initiation!
What else is up? Hmmmmm….
- Shamelessly listening to the new One Direction song, “Steal My Girl.” (I have no filter system for infectious, sugar-coated pop music JUDGE ME)
- Epic girl crush Anne Hathaway is like “I don’t need your approval” and I was like #YAAAAAAAS
- I love me some white button downs.
- Is winter a bad time to start a window garden?
- Big supporter of pajamas ALL THE TIME.
Also, if you’re obsessed with Canada like I am (there’s got to be some of you out there), check out FEAST: An Edible Road Trip. These two hilarious and articulate women have combined my top three favorite things: friendship, food, and Canada (okay, and road trips). It’s such a cool project with stellar photography.
That’s what’s up with me! 🙂 How is your week going?
